17th of February 2009: What should come along as a liitle ad for this years carnival activities are infact the original band members of Groovin' Stew back a few years ago. It was only then we discovered Mr. LuRied is a member of the Anti Hip Hop Alliance. Note that on 19th of December 2009 we'll be back on stage in Stommeln.

25th of January 2009: John Hiatt fans be aware: Pirate Radio - a John Hiatt cover band - plays live on Friday, 30th of January, 8pm, at Gasthaus Schaaf in Solingen, Ritterstr. 8. For insiders: "Schaaf, ich sach nur Solingen, wa".

25th of January 2009: Just a few yards away from the old Jukebox club Big K & the Solid Senders rocked Cologne's Wundertuete early this month. Overcrowded club saw a fantastic performance of the Senders where even Big K himself picked up his guitar and sang a song in a shaky voice that was real as the day is long.

02nd of January 2009: Cin & Mahoni  like to say welcome to 2009, the year of music. Shot been taken by Andreas Rudloff on 20th of December 2008.

31st of January 2008: We like to say Happy Birthday to one of the sons of Border Channel's Rock'n'Roll scene. We got this one again from Andreas Rudloff who's website www.rumpelbox.de might be worth while to look at from time to time. Andreas took the shot on Ragged Company's year end gig at Stommeln' s Schauff 20th of December 2008. Mr. Jones that evening performed among others a Rudy the Rednose version being an annoyance insofar as you couldn't get this song out of your mind even if you tried to listen to a portion of Heavy Rock for hours. Once you turned that off you immediately fetched this damn Rudy again.  But as today Mr. Jones birthday is celebrated along with celebration of new years eve, we tip our hat to him. See you back on stage next year, Buddy.

31st of December 2008: Here's a little remindes for Big K & the Solid Senders coming up at Cologne's club Wundertuete on Saturday, 3rd of January 2008. Start the new year with a cool breeze of Boogie Woogie.

28th of December 2008: Year ended up with a full blast of The Ragged Company including Big K. & Mister Saxman at Stommelns Schauff. If you missed that please note, that on 19th of December 2009 we'll be on stage there again hopefully again be surrounded by shining and/or exploding sparkles.

28th of December: Rufus T. discovered the story behind "More Cowbell" shirt on a Youtube video. Right now we learned that the video has been removed in the meantime for Copyright claims. Once we find that jewel again, we'll be back with that.

08th of December 2008: We like to remind you there'll be a great Border Channel 2008 year end concert of The Ragged Company including all Border Channel stars, even Josef might bring along his sax that evening he promised. 25th of November 2008: This one is from 2nd of October this year when Cin & Marion went to meet Dan Baird & Homemade Sin in Hannover. It's a shame it was the only concert in Germany and even Belgium (Mallorca anyway) was missing on the tour plan of them folks. Keith been cooly dressed on stage somehow like a business man but his car needs an urgent service date as it seems. We got this Cin's car, Mahoni's car & Rufus T. car within the AsteroidHistory section, in fact Keith' car is not less impressive.

25th of November 2008: Another rumors say that Mister Saxman may be about to leave Big K. & the Solid Senders concentrating on his career which is starting off in an awful speed. We asked Mister Saxman about his plans and he told us nothing would be decided yet.  Big K. tour carries on on 3rd of January 2009 where Boogie Woogie will enter Cologne's Wundertuete, Pfaelzer Str. 20, 8pm

On the other hand please prepare for Border Channels big year end party on 20th of December 2008 also Haus Schauff in Stommeln. Live on stage will be "The Ragged Company" including all Border Channel stars. Cin will come along as Santa Clause and possibly Mr. Jones will be Santa's little helper (any suggestions out there how "Knecht Ruprecht"may be translated otherwise?).

27th of October 2008: This one came in from Annette today and we give it to you as a tribute to Big K. & Josef both celebrating their birthday today. One more time a bunch of Border Channel stars playing in Stommeln a couple of weeks ago on Tina's 40th. 07th of August 2008: We desperately try to get some shots from thrilling "Ragged Company" concert at Tina's place last Saturday. The ragged guys got supported by Kaesi and the old Bazoobies folks on horns doing a fulminant version of "Happy Birthday Blues". Anybody out there got some pictures for us?

Now life for one of the Border Channel presidents will become much harder on the road as he's flying in on 30th of January 2008 for joining Ätze Bunne Linse for the first on this years carnival tour through Stommeln & Sinnersdorf. There's Ätzezupp then (in Stommeln) and e Wöööschje (in Sinnerdorf) but beware of the temperature, snowfall, ice rain, windy corners and frozen hands or feet or both.

15th of January 2008: Juergen Breuer has been webmaster of the Klaaf site. This site will be closed within a couple of weeks. Juergen's photo album will stay in place though and if you want to see some more shots of "The Ragged Company" as well as "Hillbilly Deluxe" and other Border Channel bands just follow http://freenetfoto.de/album/juergen.breuer1/.

03rd of January 2008: Found following lines on Klaaf homepage yesterday. Time to say thank you to Burkhard & Gabi. We hope to see you around somewhen...

Burkhard & Gabi

3rd of October 2005: Though having a few drinks at Cin's 37th birthday party on Friday, infact we couldn't resist taking a few more beers in Vervier, Belgium the day after. What a Rock 'n' Roll show of Dan Bairds "Homemade Sin". They rocked the house like struggling to recall the Spirit of '66. We reackon Keith came on earth already with a little bass guitar in hand.  And now we learned a little bit more of the words of 'L'il bit' as after the show Dan been so kind to tell us about it. 12th of August 2005: "Homemade S(C)in"? What a wonderful name of a band invented by nobody less than "Howdy M'am" Dan Baird. Have a look at the latest news from their scene under www.bairddan.com/news.html.

12th of August 2005: Here's a phantastic shot of "The Swamptones" live in Peer, Belgium showing Heiner Koop & former asteroidnews member Mr. Rufus T.. They played in front of of over 4.000 people. This one was taken by Steven Verhoeven. Special thanks Stevie! You can visit him under http://users.telenet.be/Stevie33.

12th of August 2005: Below mentioned "Grandmaster of Rock" is planning to release a new album this year. It might see Cin & Mahoni completing "We 'r' Coming" on Keyboards and Acoustic Guitar. Have to find an improved project name in the near future. It seems as if time for the reunion of "The Ragged Company" is coming soon.

24th of July 2005: Happy birthday, Grandmaster of Rock. We would appreciate to see you back here in Cologne again sometime. Cologne is waiting for 'We 'r' Coming', that's for sure.

21st of July 2005: Cin, Martin & Annette been excited by Bottle Rockets "Hey, Hey - My, My" - version in Peer, Belgium last weekend. Following the monster sound of Neil Youngs original version they even played it louder and heavier though it's hard to believe. Meanwhile Rufus T.'s "The Swamp Tones" played the first time in front of over 4.000 people. Maybe they been scared shitless but as Cin told us, they performed very well this evening and people liked them hell of a lot.

20th of July 2005: As you see we're sort of on holiday. Cin is relaxing by the pool. Rufus T.'s guitar in the back has been treated a little bit as time went by. Sorry for the poor quality of the picture but we couldn't throw that away anyway.

19th of July 2005: Took us some research work to find out that the Reloaded guys now even changed their web address. You wanna have a look? Here it is: www.groovin-stew.de. Keep on groovin' guys...

16th of July 2005: Surprise, surprise! Mr. Jones dropped by our rehearsal sessions last Wednesday completing us on background vocals. What a hot & loud summer evening. Afterwards the guys had some drinks at Pulheims's Bruennchen where they met Martin (bassman of "The Big K.") & former asteroid Mr. Rufus T. Have a look at the picture below and tell us what do you think while watching it.

This one was taken on 13th of July 2005.

16th of July 2005: Cin, Martin & Annette are off for Peer, Belgium. They are special guests of Rufus T. who is on stage together with "The Swamp Tones".

15th of July 2005: Here's some old one of Chris, our new drummer. It's kind of an AsteroidHistory extract. You'll find him under Asteroids too in the meantime. Chris has been part of Gerd Köster's "Die geilen Träumer". Remembering those times they always played Wolf Maahn's "Die Sucht der Träumer" and it might have been Gerd Köster who always used to say that Wolf had written this song especially for them. There have been a couple of days since then anyway.

15th of July 2005: Concert of "Ääze, Bunne, Linse" has been cancelled due to heavy holiday conflicts. There'll be a special confidental meeting of the guys at the end of August. We'll give you a report afterwards.

06th of July 2005: We're "Part Time Stuntmen" too. Have a look at Linus' performance under www.asteroidnews.de/linus.wmv.

23rd of June 2005: Chris, one of the best drummers in Cologne, has joined asteroidnews on drums. We appreciate playing with him and we'll give you some more information about him including some pictures and so on soon.

23rd of June 2005: What a weekend for Cin & Mahoni. First both entered into discussions of the near future of asteroidnews in Stommelns "Heuwaegelchen" on Friday. They agreed still to be always ready for any mischief. Then on Saturday, while Mahoni been on the road, Cin played on Keyboard with "The Tulsa Shuffle" & "The Big K." at an Open Air Concert in Stommeln, Kamphof. We shot that one on the left side right before he entered the stage (thanks Mrs. R.). Afterwards there had been a great Aftershow-Party once again in Stommelns "Heuwaegelchen" with everybody around except Linus & Mahoni. Things ended up somewhen in the morning. On Sunday Cin & Mahoni discussed whether a job as being a "Part Time Private Eye" (which infact is the title of a song of Mahoni and is sort of a following part of Mahoni's "School Spy") could be of interest.

23rd of June 2005: Things clarify concerning the concert of "Äätze, Bunne, Linse" in August. Concert will take place at Pulheim's Bruennchen August 13th 2005. Please make sure you will not miss this event.

23rd of June 2005: No Phil today! First concert of "The Ragged Company" in Kerpen has been postponed.

17th of June 2005: This years Country Fest in Esch saw Cin, Rufus T., Gaby, Martin & the 4th-Amigo as attendencies. While Mahoni been missing Cin & Rufus T. saw the morning sun on their way home.

11th of June 2005: Uhhhhhhhhh - what a shot of Silvio taken on Wednesday, 25th of May 2005 in S'Arenal, Mallorca. Silvio was suffering from a flu but performed well on guitar together with "The Heart of We 'r' Coming" downtown Arenal. Hope we'll see him in a few days over in Germany. We promise: It'll be Rock 'n' Roll time again...

9th of June 2005: Jochen on drums & Kaesi dropped by joining our late night session last Wednesday. Kaesi played the bass on some silver intrument that looked a bit like a machine gun. The improved band name of the guys been "Seven'th Rerun". They performed a cool version of John's "Who'll Stop the Rain" (which John wrote in 1969).

9th of June 2005: Has anybody out there ever heard of a band called the "Groovin' Stew"? On 25th of June they play sort of downtown Cologne, Aachener Weiher. We wonder who they are.

07th of June 2005: Another day in the life of Cin & Mahoni was last Friday. Cin took the chance to do a Foxtrott-dance within the halls of Pulheim's "Bruennchen". Talking to Cin, he told us, that over the past 37 years he always been a bit afraid of dancing. But coming close to nearly 40 years of age, he is planning to see things a bit more relaxing after all. Mahoni himself been a guest of "The Big K." playing in Frechen that day. Besides, it surely been one of these days in the life of the overwhelming Saxman: he's the only and the one 4th-Amigo.

02nd of June 2005: Watch out for the first concert of "The Ragged Company" around end of June. It'll take place in Kerpen and it will see nobody less than Phil, Silvio ("uss Napoli"), Pierro, Cin & Mahoni together on stage. As far as there will be no rehearsals at all it'll be a thrilling concert for both audience and musicians. We are looking forward and are coming back with detailed information in a while.

02nd of June 2005: Chris "Charlie-the-2nd" Lewald dropped by our rehearsal sessions completing asteroidnews on drums that evening. He is well known over the last years to be one of Cologne best drummers. Too, he already played with Cin, Mr. LuRied, Rufus T. & Mahoni in various formations. So it may turn out, you see him on stage with us soon.

17th of May 2005: Got some bad news this time as Mr. Jones has left asteroidnews due to his own decision. He actually played with bands like "Reverend Funk & the Vienna Boogie Boys", "Al & the Capones", "Roll Over", "The Big Bazoobies" in the past, maybe he even been a member of the legendary band "Triton" around 1977 or so, which we don't know for sure. But for sure is he remains a member of "Äätze, Bunne, Linse", of which we got some news for you soon. So trust in the fact that you see us on stage with him again!

17th of May 2005: Mr. Jones playing the drums in Stommeln, 16th of April 2004, catched by Maria.

12th of May 2005: We already gave him a lot of names before. Right now 4th-Amigo went online as http://www.mister-saxman.com/. We're seriously thrilled.

3rd of May 2005: Howdy Folks! Guess what: 11th of June 2005 will see us one more time in Köln-Esch around as the traditional "Country-Fest" will take place on that day. Picture below was taken in June 2003 by Annette.

02nd of May 2005: Rufus T.'s 'The Swamptones' will play at Belgium Rhythm 'n' Blues Festival in Peer this summer. The event will see Bottle Rockets & Los Lobos appearing too and takes place at 15th of July 2005. Meanwhile Rufus T.'s song 'Feelin' Fine' performed by 'The Swamptones' made it on to Blues-News-Sampler IV. For more information meet 'The Swamptones' at already mentioned weblink.

30th of April 2005: asteroidnews strongly recommend that you take a look at www.habemus-daum.de.

30th of April 2005: Cin & Mahoni appeared at Annelie's birthday party playing a few traditional Cologne standards last Monday in Stommeln. It surely been "one of these days...".

20th of April 2005: Be aware: The famous 'Äätze, Bunne, Linse' will play on a summer carnival event in Pulheim. We'll come back with more information soon. But please be already advised not to miss this event.

20th of April 2005: asteroidnews performed a "Night of Rock 'n' Roll" on Saturday in Stommeln. Here is one shot that was taken by Maria seeing Mr. LuRied, Mahoni, Linus & Cin at work. Special thanks to Jo for his help on that evening.

20th of April 2005: We already recommended the Swamptones site www.swamptones.de. Right now we do this again as they also redesigned the site and right now it looks even more professional than before. Are you into New Orleans music? Take a look at these guys. Special greetings via the web to Mr. Fasthand: Heiner Koop.

15th of April 2005: Josh Grossberg paraphrased an old Chuck Berry tune on yahoo.com, saying "Bye-Bye, Johnnie". That is because Johnnie Johnson, the rhythm-and-blues piano player, having played such tracks as "Roll over Beethoven" and "No Particular Place To Go" which at last helped to lay the foundations for Rock 'n' Roll, died yesterday at the age of 80 years. We'll remember Johnnie in deep honour.

11th of April 2005: From all of the Ragged Company: Happy birthday, Maria!

08th of April 2005: Just in case you are interested. Here's a link to an interview with good ole "Howdy M'am Dan". www.rocktimes.de/gesamt/b/dan_baird/interview2004.html.

06th of April 2005: Maria? Are you still alive? You like to join us at a few songs on 16th of April? Just in case please leave a message at cincinnati@asteroidnews.de

06th of April 2005: We sort of stole this beautiful one from the Reloaded homepage. They had a relaunch of the page some weeks ago. Try it out at: www.bazoobies-reloaded.de. Howdy Mlody & Werner! How you're doin'?

06th of April 2005: Mr. Rufus T. joined the band around Deryl Arnold. He's playing together with Klaus (he's also member of "The Big K") on drums & Sven on bass. Yeah! Sven is back after the legendary conversation between him and Cin & Mahoni somewhen in the 90ties: Sven: "Hat jemand die Ariane gesehen?" Cin & Mahoni in chorus: "Chhrrrrrrrjjjjjaaaaaaa". We'll ask Mr. Rufus T. for some picture of the band and try to present it to you in a while.

30.03.2005: The asteroidnews Rock'n'Roll circus once again stops in Stommeln as the band is playing live on 16th of April, 8pm, at Heuwaegelchen, Stommeln. Entrance is free of course. Watch out for a special guest!

21.03.2005: Phil & Mahoni started off the "Kölner Saitenstrassen"-project. First action took place in Muelheim a.d. Ruhr as both together with Suppi & Annette finished the recording of "Koelsches Maedche" last Friday. Now within this project, so called 'Nagelschmiedgasse', a small and narrow street in Cologne being surprinsingly mentioned in a movie called "Die Musterknaben", will take a central role. Later on they met some friends at Cologne's Paladium where nobody less than John Fogerty appeared on stage. Who been around too? Well it's been Cin, Mr. LuRied, Mr. Rufus T., Gaby, Suppi, Tina, Martin, Chris & Barbara. One time John said: "Let's go back to business. Let's do some Rock 'n' Roll!".

21.03.2005: While Cin suffered heavily from a broken D-String on his beloved Gretsch guitar, this obviously couldn't prevent Jones & Linus from being amused. Find some more shots from our concert at Wundertuete, Cologne under AsteroidLive soon. For having a look around Rosi's pub go to www.wundertuete-online.de. Very special thanks to Bernhard Mettendorf for helping us on that evening. He might not forget this evening too, as he stuck on the A1 and wondered whether to get to us in time. Thanks again Bernhard!

17.03.2005: News from 'Concert of the broken D-String' is following soon. Right now Phil & Mahoni are heading for Muelheim a.d. Ruhr to see a Tulsa Shuffle concert including Cin & Rufus T. on stage. All news are following in a minute. Stay tuned.

09.03.2005: We like to invite you to a "Night of Rock 'n' Roll". We start off coming Saturday at 8pm in Cologne, Wundertüte, Pfälzer Str. 20. We been stopped by the police last time at SimRockBar due to what they called loudness. Therefore this time we play a little bit faster to try to finish with our program before police can switch our amps off. Try to stay close with us after the show.

06.03.2005: Here is one from carnivals Tuesday where 4th-Amigo, Cin & Mahoni played some old German & Cologne standards. People were overwhelmed by our "Es gibt kein Bier auf Hawai"-version.

06.03.2005: Linus, Cin & Mahoni were 'leftovers' on Fridays concert of "The Big K." in Stommeln. Linus performed some real rock 'n' roll dancing leaving Cin & Mahoni speechless. Mahoni took some time to force Josef joining the "Bazoobies Reloaded" but his efforts were in vain so far. That happened while the 4th-Amigo promised you could depend on him in the future. Slogan of the day came from Henry who said: "At last Morschi discovered the hall effect."

06.03.2005: Congratulations to Tom & Tanja. You been quiet & courageous.

28th of February 2005: We want to point out, that on 18th of March 2005 all of us are heading for the one and only Mr. John Fogerty. His majesty is playing at Palladium, Cologne. So this year John is Rockin' All Over The World and stopping in Cologne which he never did before. We can't wait.

28th of Feburary 2005: With the courtesy of Stefan Schumacher & Suppi Huhn - can you imagine what Herbert Knebel and his gang is doing here? Well, they are signing the "Knebelvertrag". Second from the left is Suppi Huhn. In the end these guys would easily fit into the "Ragged Company".

22nd of February 2005: Watch out for asteroidnews is playing live on 12th of March 2005 in Cologne at a place called "Wundertuete" around 8 pm or so. If you want to join "The Ragged Company" on that evening try to get there in time.

Right after the show there's been a bar around the corner. That's the place this one was taken. Possibly Jan pulled the trigger.

Here you got the "Extended Ragged Company". Cin & Mahoni completed 'We 'r' Comin' playing a rough version of "Dead Flowers" in Llucmajor on that funny day. Why does that day never ever start from the beginning again?

This Live Act was taken by Mrs. A on 12th of February 2005. The incredible Phil & We 'r' Comin' - Mallorcas Rock 'n' Roll gang No. 1.

22nd of February 2005: Cin, Mahoni & Phil heading nowhere captured by Mrs. A last week.

18th of February 2005: We heard that Cin & Mahoni will join the big "Tohuwabohu" event around April/May. The grandfathers of "Big Bazoobies" including Josef & Werner will be back on stage. It's hard to believe.

15th of February 2005: Cin & Mahoni been on a trip to Mallorca. Find some nice photos here soon. You might see Phil at his best performance ever. Thanks to Nina, Phil & Marlon anyway. Special greetings via the web to Silvio, Pierro, Manolo, Jan, Marius & all the other friends. You been good to us (not to forget Annette) and in the end you are No. 1 Rock 'n' Roll gang in the world. By the way Pierro: Tickets for JF are still available.

15th of February 2005: asteroidnews will play live in Stommeln at a place called "Heubock". More information is following soon.

15th of February 2005: We Are All Alive - as you could see easily during the past days. Thanks Mrs. M for that lovely one.

28th of January 2005: Happy birthday Mr. Thomas Red. "The Ragged Company" and most of the asteroidnews members will hopefully see you tomorrow in Stommeln.

28th of January 2005: Last Friday asteroidnews played live at SimRockBar. We try to leave you some shots from that funny day. After the concert Cin & Mahoni co-founded "The Ragged Company". The task is performing rare visits without invitations and stressing the "I hope you won't see me" factor.

14th of January 2005: The asteroidnews site had more than 12.000 hits in the year 2004. Thanks for dropping by from time to time.

11th of January 2005: Looks like the sun is shining in 2005. Help is needed though by some friends as the Amigos Triangle featuring the 4th Amigo might touch the ground of Palma on 10th of February around the midday. Step aside.

05th of January 2005: Wanna see Cin playing live? Ok, he's playing every now and then. But wanna see him live on guitar? We remind you that asteroidnews is playing live at 21st of January at a place called SimRock Bar in Ehrenfeld. Watch out for a guy with a Gretsch guitar, dark sunglasses wearing a T-Shirt that says: "Since 2002: Helmut II."

01st of January 2005: We wish all of you a Happy New Year 2005. May your wishes come true...

30th of December 2004: We might hang around in Memphis tomorrow. And just by the way: Cin & Mahoni are planning to open up a new Measurement Office as jobs are rare elsewhere.

30th of December 2004: Last Tuesday Mr. Steinbrecher stopped by for a few drinks at Pulheims "Iguana" and met Morschi, Käsi ("The Big K"), Wilma, Josef, Johannes, Rufus T., Martin H., Cin & Mahoni. Most of them played together is various formations but that was really some years ago. Mick would have said "Ten Years Ago". We will find some old shots, so have a look under AsteroidHistory from time to time .

13th of December 2004: Cin & Mahoni got into some kind of "Some Years Ago"-feeling as they attended the concert of a band called "The Beat Goes On" last Saturday. But infact they never heard songs like "Whiskey in the Jar" or even "Eve of Destruction" before live instead of some occasions on a wooden underground by the fireplace in somewhat around the 70ties. So this was amazing. Rufus T. been around too and Mr. LuRied played a perfect role as being Keith II. Here is a Van Morrison line (out of "Give me my Rapture Today") that describes it the best: "There are strange things happening every day...". If you want to participate try to stay close with us.

29th of November 2004: Let's party for the rest of the night: Asteroidnews is playing live on 21st of January in Ehrenfeld, SimRock Bar at 9 pm. We'd be glad to see some of you around.

17th of November 2004: Ritchie wasn't there in the end, but he won't mind 'cause it's only been Rock 'n' Roll. Yesterday we made it to Essen to listen to Dan & Friends. These guys obviously been in a good mood and had a lot of fun on stage. Sorry Dan, but Keith is our new god from now on.

22th of October 2004: Rufus T. will join the Beatles Revival Band tomorrow on guitar. Concert will take place downtown Cologne at a place called "Guerzenich". Some of us are around. We are eagerly waiting for their versions of 'Come Together' & (of course) 'Revolution'.

18th of October 2004: „The Big K.” performed well in Dormagen this weekend doing a cool Rhythm & Blues concert. 4th-Amigo, Thomas Red (the other Sax-Player of the “Big K.”, have a look under AsteroidHistory: he’s sitting in the back of Cin’s car), Cin & Mahoni afterwards had a few drinks in Stommeln. As a result 4th-Amigo might join “Will, Will & Jupp – Heizung & Sanitär” for the next weeks. We give you some more information soon. Anyway: This has got more musical impacts than seeing around Cin or Mahoni waving with a water-pump-pincer. Even “The Big K.” himself is involved in that project.

15th of October 2004: Dan & Friends 'r' coming. For example on 16th of November Dan is playing in Essen at a place called "Zeche Carl". Have a look at his homepage for more information. Youl'll find it under http://www.bairddan.com/index.html. Dan: Have a look around the audience that day. We'll be around.

07th of September 2004: Rumours say that the one and only "Henry" will join asteroidnews as a special guest on guitar. Asking him, Cin said: 'I cannot confirm this information but we're working at it.'

07th of September 2004: Next Friday there'll be a reunion concert of "Keck" in Muehlheim a.d.R featuring Suppi Huhn on Vocals & Keyboards. The band was originally founded 23 years ago and hasn't played for a long long time. Concert will take place in the center of Muehlheim at a place called "Victoria Park" at 7:30 pm.

07th of September 2004: Cin & Mahoni went to Bruehl on Friday watching and listening to "The (famous) Silvertones". Bandleader Helmut told them that next year there'll be a big party as The Silvertones celebrate their 10-years anniversary. So we hope to see Cin on Keyboard one more time with "The Silvertones" then. Anyway, it seemed that on Friday half of Bruehl been around somehow. Silvertones played until 1:30 am.

03rd of September 2004: Right from the three persons below: Happy birthday Jo! We may drop by tonight.

20th of August 2004: Chicken Records & Mahoni's "We Are All Alive" foundation proudly present a downloadable version of Mahoni's "We Are All Alive". It took a couple of years to finish this song. Once ready, it was Tina, Annette, Linus & Cin who were forced to hear a cruel version at Cin's birthday party in 2002. It doesn't sound like a rock'n'roll song, it's not a mellow song too. So what the hell is it? Anyway it is featuring Beate (once again) & Suppi on background vocals. Just go to AsteroidDownloads. You also will find another song there from our last Demo-CD.

19th of August 2004: We are still checking our archieves for our AsteroidHistory section. Found some new ones you might want to see. But we promise you we are coming back with a lot more of that stuff.

18th of August 2004: Tom dropped by our rehearsal sessions joining us on Bass for one day. Said Mr. Fender: "I love to see that guy playing one of my guitars. Tom, you got some DL-news for us today?"

10th of August 2004: Tonio who? Well he been back on stage as we found the following message on the web: "Who better to drag Tonio out of semi-retirement than the band with whom he made his professional debut? On Wednesday, August 4, 2004, at the House of Blues on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles, Tonio appeared as a special guest of The Crickets. He and Peter Case performed their version of "Not Fade Away," which appears on the new Crickets release, The Crickets and Their Buddies. It may not sound like much, but it was Tonio on stage." Tonio! What the hell is a "semi-retirement"?

9th of August 2004: We are trying a Wallflowers "God Don't Make Lonely Girls"-Version and while working hard, we still try to understand the meaning of the words. Once on stage we might know it.

9th of August 2004: This is Steven White's baby. Are you able to read it? That Harley's a "Snake". In fact we see Steven back on stage soon, as he's in rehearsal sessions with Holger K. on giutar and a couple for some reason they call "Cindy & Bert".

06th of August 2004: FJ detected the link that represents sort of the "Game to the Band" (German: Das Spiel zur Band). Go for a run at www.wagenschenke.ch.

02nd of August 2004: Rufus T. & Cin  are now experts in pigeon breeding.

13th of July 2004: The scene below will not take place this weekend as Cin & Mrs. B, Rufus T. & a couple of other boys and girls are heading for the real big Rhythm 'n' Blues Festival in Peer, Belgium. In 2004 among others there are Bonnie Raitt, Tony Joe White & Sonny Landreth around. As far as Dan cancelled his German tour this year he might attend there performing a surprise attack. If so we will tell him, asteroidnews still needs a manager. By the way we found an interesting link to 'Howdy M'am'-Dan. Just follow: http://www.bairddan.com/index.html.

Picture of Cin & Mahoni was drawn by Beatrix von Velsen in 2003.

9th of July 2004: Somebody told us that during his career Mr. Lu Ried even played guitar along with German Rock 'n' Roller Wolfgang Petry a couple of times. He appeared on the album "Manche mögen's heiss" which means somethink like "Someone like it hot". Asking Mr. Ried he told us it had been real German mindblowing, drink & stumble, falldown & hangover music. It is another strange story that former asteroidnews member Rufus T. played harp on the same album. So this just for information reasons. Find a picture of young Mr. Lu Ried & a sweating Phil Dalton by the way unter AsteroidHistory.

09th of July 2004: Surprise: Cin & Mrs. B. took off for Mallorca once again just heading for the sun. A couple of days before Cin has been on stage together with "The Big K." in Stommeln. As far as the Reloaded Guys played there too it felt like a journey through the past, seeing all the "Stars of Canal Edge" around. All in all it was a wonderful concert.

02nd of July 2004: We are proud that Mr. Lu Ried has joined asteroidnews on Lead Guitar. Mr. Lu Ried is into the music business since ever. He started his career in a strange place called “Dancing”, Bettmeralp, Switzerland playing bass with them local heroes. It must have been in 1978. Though it is nearly unbelievable Mahoni has been in the audience that day. Mr. Lu Ried been a band member among others of famous “Meals on Wheels”. Besides, we wonder whether they still exist. In 1980 he and Mahoni performed a rough version of Neil Young’s “Out on the Weekend” during a concert of “Meals on Wheels” in Pulheim. We might find some historical pictures somewhere and we will present them under AsteroidHistory. Have a look from time to time.

02nd of July 2004: This was taken after our last rehearsal session on 30th of June 2004. As being lead guitarist Mr. Lu Ried will be "The Heart of asteroidnews"

02nd of July 2004: Phil was there!!!!!! Maybe there will be a chance to do some double concerts together with “We ‘r’ Coming” in December 2004 around Cologne. On 18th of June Phil, Cin & Mahoni went watching “Bazzobies Reloaded” in Auweiler and afterwards celebrated their reunion together with some of the “Reloaded” guys in Stommeln.

02nd of July 2004: Picture was taken on 11th of June 2004 in Muehlheim a.d.R. The 4th-Amigo is playing Sax along Mahoni’s “Deep Sky”. Later that day he debuted on vocals which he thought he’d never would. Poor 4th-Amigo this time had to be forced in heading for new worlds.

02nd of July 2004: This was taken on 11th of June 2004 at the Chicken International Music Studios, Muehlheim a. d. R. Mahoni is working together with Suppi Huhn, Manager of Chicken International Records, all the way since 1995. Right now they are in negotiations whether Mahoni’s still to be founded “We Are All Alive” record label can be a part of Cicken International Records.

14th of June 2004: We're looking forward next weekend as Phil's is heading for Cologne. Let's see if there are some news from Mallorca.

14th of June 2004: Last Friday, the 4th Amigo & Mahoni went to Muehlheim a.d. Ruhr for a few recording works. Suppi Huhn, CEO of Chicken Records, was overwhelmed hearing the 4th Amigo playing Saxophon. Said Suppi: "This guy seems to be a real musician as far as I can see." Meanwhile Cin went on stage together with his old "Big Bazoobies"-friends in Stommeln on Saturday. See if we can get some live shots.

07th of June 2004: "Don't take me to the Blue Room!" Cin said, when meeting Dr. Joerg Roellinger on Friday. Mr. Roellinger was having his 100-year-familiy-tradition celebratation of him and his parents being dentists. It seems as if Cin is sort of treated in the "Blue Room" when attending Doc Roellinger for teeth control reasons. The 4th-Amigo, Cin, Linus, Mahoni & a couple of friends were around and the evening went on as ever before. We see Joerg on stage somewhen as he is guitarist of the Bazoobies Reloaded. "Teeth Reloaded" would have been good too, isn't it?

07th of June 2004: Welcome to the World Wide Web. The Reloaded-Guys are online!! Here is the link: www.bazoobies-reloaded.de. You find a historical photo of some of the old Big Bazoobies members under AsteroidHistory. You'll be missing especially Hans-Georg and Kaesi there though.

24th of May 2004: asteroidnews will do a concert at a place called "Surprise Packet" (German: "Wundertüte" ha ha) right in the city of Cologne possibly around the "End of September" 2004. We'll keep you informed...

24th of May 2004: There's a new asteroidnews unplugged concert taking place at 24th of June 2004 in Brauweiler. Let's see who's around there. We'll catch it all on video again anyway. We'll be back with more information soon.

17th of May 2004: Picture below says: "They 'r' all alive too" in Llucmajor, Mallorca.

Phil & friends last week in Llucmajor.

14th of May 2004: Lui (Lutz Riedel) dropped by our rehearsal sessions completing asteroidnews on guitar once again for that day. He'll be in Palma next week and we advised him to make a stop in Llucmajor just to see who's around there. Meanwhile Cin, Linus & Mahoni suffered heavily from a "we know a bar where we won't get carded"-evening.

06th of May 2004: There's a new asteroidnews-Unplugged concert taking place in June. We'll keep you informed about details.

06th of May 2004: We installed an AsteroidDownload section which is still under construction though. We will place especially our demo songs there but too, we will place there a few mpeg-files of Mahoni's long gone solo projects.

03rd of May 2004: We're hoping we're able to rebuild the North-West axis of Cologne, but are not quite sure so far. We'll be back with this matter soon. Anyway, if you want to meet us: we are in Attendorn next Saturday ;-).

02nd of April 2004: Martin Hark ("Dr. Koma") dropped by our rehearsal session. He sang along "American Love Affair". We remember he was the first that came along with Tonio K's "Western Funky Civilisation". And that was a time, we had never heard of a guy called "Tonio K". Tonio who?

02nd of April 2004: We're still looking back in amusement. We wonder whether we see this guy on TV sometime. Try to join us, when we are around. We might attend the real big Udo Huhn concert tonight. Rumours say, he's back in town and still alive.

26th of March 2004: Happy birthday, 'Sister of God'.

24th of March 2004: Rufus T. left asteroidnews today due to various reasons. We see him around somewhere though. Right now, we’re looking for a substitute on guitar. We’ll be back with information soon.

20th of March 2004: Celebrating our 1st birthday of the asteroidnews website. We had over 10.000 hits within the first year and we hope you keep on visiting us from time to time.

19th of March 2004: A 100-foot-diameter asteroid passed close but harmlessly by Earth yesterday. The asteroid passed about 26,500 miles above the southern Atlantic Ocean. Astronomers had to scramble to observe the asteroid named 2004 FH because it was only discovered late Monday during a survey by two telescopes in New Mexico.

19th of March 2004: Cin & Rufus T. went on a skiing trip to Austria. Rumors say that Rufus T. made it downhill a so called "idiot hill" ;-) without loosing his sun glasses. We are deeply impressed.

19th of March 2004: Mahoni recorded "Deep Sky", a song he wrote a couple of years ago. The song is a tribute to all people who are into watching foreign galaxies, suns, stars, asteroids, and so on. Recording works were done by Suppi Huhn at the Chicken Records Music Studios in Muelheim. It is still not finished yet, but as soon as it is finished, we leave a downloadable version on this site. Doesn't sound like pure Rock'n' Roll though.

19th of March 2004: Rufus T. is proudly looking at Ben, a possible new asteroidnews member in the year 2024. Tanja made this picture on the 22nd of February 2004 in Stommeln.

26th of February 2004: Cin, Bea & the 4th Amigo stood strong 'til 12pm on Tuesday celebrating last carnival day in Stommeln near Cologne. More information about what happened the days before is following soon.

26th of February 2004: Here's a link to a (quality stripped down) mpeg-audio file from our recording session. Just download: www.asteroidnews.de/crossroads.mp3. It's an 3,2 Mb-file. The song was written by Mickey Jupp.

17th of February 2004: We met a few friends like Josef, Carmen, Martin, Käsi, Bärbel, Mlody & his wife, Annette, Tina, Petra but celebrated especially Thomas Roth when he proudly entered the town hall in Stommeln last Saturday. From asteroidnews Rufus T., Jones, Cin & Mahoni were around.

12th of February 2004: We're still preparing an audio-file for download purposes. As you can see beneath, Cin & Mahoni are hard-working man. Give us a little patience...

12th of February 2004: We will cancel the Flash-Intro of our website in the very near future. For the rest of the period we changed it a bit in memory of Warren Zevon who died in September 2003. He reminded people to "Party for the Rest of the Night". It could have been he wrote that song especially for asteroidnews somehow.

10th of February 2004: Last Friday we captured the "Three Amigos" in the end. Here are Heino, Clint Eastwood & 'The Devil's Right Hand'. They were just posing for a local photographer. In fact, they joined the event on their own risk.

06th of February 2004: There's a big party going on tonight in Pulheim. Rumors say that Cin, Mahoni & Rufus T. will be around. If so, they will be hard to find because they might be dressed up. Some even say Cin will look like a guy called Heino.

23rd of January 2004: Happy birthday Tom! See you tonight.

15th of January 2004: Through a hidden hint we finally found Phil’s new pages on the web. Congratulations Phil, it’s an impressing, it’s a wonderful site. Find it out by going to www.philwo.com.

15th of January 2004: We are happy that our good old friend Bernie Pub joined us on stage on Dec 23rd. Please know that some also call him “The 4th Amigo”. Watch out for our next concert coming soon. You might see Bernie Pub again joining us on saxophone. You can reach him via his new special mail address: 4th-amigo@asteroidnews.de by the way. Find some live shots from our Christmas concert under AsteroidLive and lookout for some of the “Kommunengirls”. As you can even see somewhere, it’s all been caught on video.

11th of December 2003: It is a Mexican tradition, that on the 23rd of December the annual Noche de los Rábanos takes place. This is a festive time when booths are set up along the length and breadth of the zócalo. We honestly promise to do the huapango-dance that day and might play a song called 'Mexican Divorce'. Let’s start with a few words written by Ry Cooder: “Down below El Paso lies Juarez - Mexico is different, like a travel folder says - Cross the Rio Grande and you will find - An old adobe house - Where you leave your past behind - One day married, next day free - Broken hearts for you and me - Takes no time, for you to get - A Mexican divorce.” During the rehearsal time we had some difficulties not to crash with our hats. Too, we had only four of them so Linus was pressured to play the role as the photographer.

“The Amigos Triangle” – Cin, Mahoni & Rufus T. – is accompanied by Mex Jones, who is the master of the huapango since the help bells of Alamo were ringing.

24th of November 2003: Last Friday Cin, Mahoni & Rufus T. accompanied by Mrs B. & Mrs. A2 went to a place called “Die hängenden Gärten von Ehrenfeld”. Mahoni purely by chance met a couple of friends asking them what they are doing there. One of them, named Christian, said something like: “Welcome Mahoni, have a drink with us. We just arrived from a so called drinking experiment.” Said Mahoni: “A what? But ok, you know, among other things asteroidnews is kind of a drinking experiment, too!” It turned out to be a funny evening. It seems as if somehow we are something like the operators of a ‘What-Happens-Next?-Machine’.

21st of November 2003: Rumours say that a Spanish-German Rock ‘n’ Roll hero accompanied by an “Italian Shoes” wearing Italian is heading for Cologne. We’ll keep you informed.

21st of November 2003: Watch out for the big “asteroidnews unplugged” event taking place at the 23rd of December 2003 somewhere around in Pulheim. There will be a small entrance fee but in exchange, a funny evening is guaranteed. Maybe there will be some guest stars from the local scene attending that happening. Though Steven White may be in Hamburg that day…

21st of November 2003: „Never pass this guy a guitar!“ Rufus T. yelled, when listening to the incredible Sonny Landreth. Sonny and his “Boss” John Hiatt played in Cologne last Monday. Cin and Rufus T. joined the audience and were deeply impressed by the performance of Sonny. Said Rufus T.: “I never knew, you could play a guitar like he did. Sonny is unbelievable.”

07th of November 2003: Find some live shots from our concert at the "Rock-Inn" in Dormagen by going to AsteroidLive. Thanks to the guys from the "Rock-Inn" for having a funny evening. They truely celebrated a "Halloween" and we are proud having participated on that 31st of October 2003.

They had bid spiders, chains, thrilling thunder and some ghosts even on stage. If you got time to spend go and visit the "Rock-Inn".

24th of October 2003: Prepare for some good old Rock 'n' Roll as asteroidnews is playing live at a Halloweenparty next Friday. Don't mind if everyone will be a little confused on stage and elsewhere. It's part of the plan. Have a look at the Car history of asteroidnews in the meantime. You'll find the relating pictures by pressing the AsteroidHistory button.

Gracias Cin!     -     If you want to read a translation simply go to http://www.geocities.com/we_r_comin/News.html.

13th of October 2003: Try the AsteroidHistory button and (a) find a picture of the incredible 4th Amigo and (b) have a look what Dan wrote for Cin calling him Cyn though.

05th of October 2003: Sorry for talking in miracles, but from now on we should call him "The 4th Amigo". In fact he's a god. We place a link to his page, but going there, sorry again, you will not understand the meaning of this message.

02nd of October 2003: asteroidnews is playing live on 31st of October 2003. More information is following soon.

02nd of October 2003: "Goodbye Sinnersdorf, I'm leaving...". Cin & Bea are taking off next Monday heading for Llucmajor, Mallorca. Watch out for turbulences and have a good time.

29st of August 2003: We do suffer from a serious infection, 'cause we got a rock 'n' roll connection. ;-) Cin & Mahoni will join the audience in tonights concert watching 'Jumpin' Jonny Sansone' playing together with The Swamptones. Give us some AsteroidSwamp!

21st of August 2003: Proud to present a shot from the last rehearsal session. Don't you think, you're much too old for all this, guys?

"The Hearing Defect Guitar Section" of asteroidnews: Cin & Mr. Rufus T.

21st of August 2003: Finally finished works on our Demo-CD. We now plan to start playing live first time officially in November 2003.

This is the cover of our new Demo- CD. It contains five tracks from the last recording session. The songs were recorded live.

20th of August: The asteroidnews-site had a record tracking over 1100 hits in July 2003. We are very pleased with that and hope you furthermore enjoy visiting us on the web. If you like to, please press the AsteroidHistory button and see Cin learning guitar from his Grandma ;-).

15th of August 2003: Cin & Mahoni went to a place called "Parkhaus", Duisburg watching the incredible Dan Baird. He performed a few Rock 'n' Roll songs for people with a hearing defect. Thanks Dan, for the songs you wrote for us and please, please keep on rocking.

15th of August 2003, a historical date, you take a look at "The Heart of Georgia Satellites".

10th of August 2003: Coming soon: a downloadable song in an mp3-format from our recording works. Details about ordering our new demo-cd are following too.

04th of August 2003: We finished our recording works at the db-music studios on Saturday morning at 2am. Enjoy the picture showing Linus, Cin & Jones singing about "Robert Johnson & Elmore James". Looks like Linus does this everyday, but in fact it was his first time ever.

04th of August 2003: Rufus has joined asteroidnews as a new guitarist in a final decision last Friday. In real life his name starts with a "G". Photographies of him are following soon.

29th of July 2003: Wish we had some better news: Speedo has resigned as a guitarist of asteroidnews due to a simple lack of time. He still stays to be one of us and once there he will join us on stage again.

28th of July 2003: Mahoni and his witness F-J saw a fantastic 4:1 of Fenerbahce in Essen on Sunday. Fener rules!

24th of July 2003: Happy birthday Phil. Greetings to "Hot Summer Island", we're sad not to be there.

Watching girls passing by - it ain't the latest thing. (Cin&Phil, Mallorca 1999)

14th of July 2003: Cin & Mahoni met the CEO of the db-music studios, Mr. Dennis Brochhausen in Dormagen. Mr. Brochhausen will do some recording works for asteroidnews at the end of July. Said Mr. Brochhausen: "I appreciate having these guys around in our music studios in Dormagen. It has always been a lot of fun to work with Cin, Mahoni and all the others." Cin stated: "We are looking forward to work with Mr. Brochhausen. He got years of experience, even worked a long time for Dierks Studios, Stommeln." Said Mahoni: "The first time I met Dennis was in 1984. He is into the music business since about that time. Guido, Cin and me in fact know his whole family. Let me just mention the "Al&the Capones"-times in 1984/85 for example. I like Dennis and I guess he doesn't hate me." For more information about the db-music studios just go to www.db-musik.de.

4th of July 2003, Cologne, Kaschaemm: Mahoni made a tremendous 4 of 4 in Pool Billard leaving a depressed Cin shaking his head. Again, Cin said time for a revenge is coming soon.

30th of June 2003: Fortune favours the brave, Cin! He and Silvertones' Michael went for a ride on a Ferris wheel on Sunday. They tried to see Cologne from the top. Cin was suffering from a hard night at Rapha's summer party. After having a "few" drinks he tried to sleep on the table but, as he guessed, Annika send him a world-class snorer just for kidding reasons. Cin said time for a revenge is coming soon.

25th of June 2003: Went to Speedo's 'Country Home' last Saturday meeting a few old folks from a long gone time. Seeing Speedo's brass band with Speedo on bass and Maria on percussions was pure fun. We relaxed watching them girls and boys playing while the sun was shining bright and the drinks were icy cold. But by the way: We all missed Cin!

11th of June 2003: Now, just to keep you informed: Tom joined "The Big Bazoobies Reloaded". Three cheers to the unforeseen. Or shall we say: Better late than never?

11th of June 2003: Celebrated a cool Mallorca-Reunion meeting Phil at Guido's place. Later on Guido's guitar&harps were tested with them guys singing few songs together. That is what we're here for. Now, from the left: Cin, Mahoni, Phil & Guido.

The picture was taken at 9th of June 2003.

26th of May 2003: Tom & Tanja heard the call of the wild facing some severe wild boar attack in Spain. They made their way home in the end and recovered having a few beers with Cin & Mahoni on Saturday at some well known place in Cologne. Now, rumors say that Tom will join the "Big Bazoobies Reloaded". Go ahead Tom and give us some (asteroid) news.

11th of May 2003: What a party on Friday watching Cin's "The Silvertones" in Cologne's so called Kaschaemm. Cin played the "A1-Blues" while Mahoni & Linus met a few friends like Tina, Annette, Rapha, Julie & Guido and others. Now, there are a few things to come, so watch out. For example please note 31st of May as the yearly happening "Countryfest" will see some of us around in Esch. It all turns out to be "Real Live Bleeding Fingers" (a tribute to Guido).

2nd of May 2003: Had some fun at Mlodys party yesterday. We even went on stage and played "The Boys are Back in Town" this time with Guido playing guitar. People just couldn't believe it and shaked their heads, but Mahoni was playing a brilliant organ while Cin singing "Believer". After all, we are still on the attacking side.

14th of April 2003: Had our first Four Roses on Friday after all this years, but were missing "Jupp Schmitz", our treasurer.

04th of April 2003: Came up with a few songs at yesterdays blues session at Monheimer Hof. People liked it but said that our sunglasses were awful and ugly. Well that was a desperate try to look like Hightower & Teckleberry. Ok, we failed so far. We might use other ones next time. A little reunion happened as Speedo met some old folks from "Phil & the Flash". And by the way: Phil wrote a message that he's coming to Cologne next Friday. Anybody out there to attend that kind of a reunion?

03rd of April 2003: We might try a Dixie Beauxderaunt version if it's not bothering Dan.

24th of March 2003: If you want to meet us, we might be in Memphis on Friday ;-).

20th of March 2003: A ski-accident can really be painful.
